From the moment Dan McCabe stepped onto the stage at the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny, I knew we were in for a special night.

The room was packed with fans eager to hear his powerful voice bring classic Irish ballads to life, and he did not disappoint. Dan instantly drawing the audience into the heartfelt nostalgia of the song. His voice, rich and full of emotion, carried every word with a sincerity that made the lyrics hit home.

From there, he took us through a stunning setlist of Irish ballads and folk classics, including *The I Loved So Well*, *The Parting Glass*, and *Grace*, each one met with enthusiastic applause. One of the standout moments of the night was his rendition of *The Fields of Athenry*. The entire crowd joined in, their voices filling the venue, creating that unique atmosphere you only get at a great Irish gig.

He also performed *The Black Velvet Band*, which was nothing short of spellbinding. His stripped-back arrangement let his vocals shine, sending chills through the room. Between songs, Dan chatted with the audience, sharing stories and the history behind some of the ballads.

His genuine warmth and humour made the concert feel personal, as if we were all gathered in an intimate session rather than a hotel ballroom. He closed the night with Snow Patrol classic *Run*, a fitting end to an incredible evening. As the final notes rang out, the standing ovation said it all—Dan McCabe had delivered a truly unforgettable performance.

For anyone who loves Irish folk music, seeing Dan McCabe live is an experience not to be missed. His voice, his passion, and the way he brings these timeless ballads to life make for a night of pure magic.
